How do I use LIBIFEME® Optimal vaginal ovules?

 

LIBIFEME® Optimal can be used for:

Vaginal dryness 1 ovule/day preferably in the evening before sleeping, for 5-7 days after menstrual cycle or according to your doctor’s instructions.
Vaginal irritation, burning and itching


Do not exceed the suggested dosage without medical advice.

How do I apply LIBIFEME® Optimal vaginal ovules?

 

Insert 1 ovule/day in the vagina, preferably in the evening before sleeping, for 5-7 days after menstrual cycle or according to your doctor's instructions.

 

1. Wash vaginal area properly;
2. Open the package and after having washed properly your hands, take one ovule from the blister;
3. Gently insert the ovule deep into the vagina; preferably in supine position, avoiding accidental exit of the ovule out of the vagina.

 

PRECAUTIONS:

During pregnancy, lactation and for children, the use of ovules must be limited only if strictly required and under direct control of your doctor.

 

CAUTIONS:

  • Keep out of reach and sight of children.
  • Do not swallow.
  • Do not use if package has been previously opened or damaged.
  • Do not use the product after the expiry date. The expiry date refers to the unopened and properly stored product.
  • Do not use the product in case of vaginal lesions and wounds.
  • Do not use the product during menstruation.
  • Monouse device. In case of accidental exit of the ovule out of the vagina, do not re-use the ovule.
  • In case of the intact hymenal membrane, consult gynecologist on the specific method of use.
  • Do not exceed the suggested dosage without medical advice.
  • The use, especially if prolonged - may increase sensitivity. If this is the case, stop the treatment and consult the doctor. It is important to inform your doctor or pharmacist about any undesirable effects not reported in the leaflet.
  • Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

  • 18-beta-glycyrrhetinic acid

Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid exerts a hydrating and lubricating action against vaginal dryness, contributes to restore a natural and comfortable vaginal environment.

Lactic acid
Lactic acid - normally present in the vagina - favours an immediate pH correction and facilitates the natural recovery of the delicate vulvo-vaginal ecosystem.

Polycarbophil
Polycarbophil interacting with vaginal mucus can constantly release H+ ions contributing to lower the pH of vaginal environment.

Vitamins A and E
Due to their potent antioxidant action, Vitamins A and E contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes and skin.

Melaleuca oil
Melaleuca oil, extracted from the leaves of the melaleuca alternifolia, has antiseptic properties.

Glycyrrhetinic acid
Glycyrrhetinic acid, extracted from liquorice roots, has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
