How do I take LIBIFEME® Optimal vaginal ovules?

 

LIBIFEME® Optimal can be used for:

Vaginal dryness 1 ovule/day preferably in the evening before sleeping, for 5-7 days after menstrual cycle or according to your doctor’s instructions.
Vaginal irritation, burning and itching


Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage without additional medical advice.
Prolonged use may increase sensitivity. In this case, it is recommended to discontinue the treatment and consult your doctor or pharmacist.

How do I apply LIBIFEME® Optimal vaginal ovules?

 

Insert 1 ovule/ day in the vagina, preferably in the evening before sleeping, after menstrual cycle or according to medical instructions.

 

1. Carefully wash the genital area.
2. Carefully open the package and after having washed your hands, take 1 ovule out from the blister.
3. Holding the ovule with your thumb and finger, gently insert it deep into the vagina, preferably in supine position, avoiding accidental exit of the ovule out of vagina.

 

Once inside the vagina, the ovule melts. Lie down as soon as possible. This will minimize leakage.


Each ovule can only be used once. If the ovule accidentally gets out of the vagina, do not reuse it.


Precautions for use
Do not use during the menstrual cycle.
During pregnancy, breast-feeding and in children, the use of the vaginal ovules must be limited only to cases where strictly required and should be made under the direct control of your doctor.
Do not use the product in case of vaginal lesions or wounds.

  • 18-beta-glycyrrhetinic acid

Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid exerts a hydrating and lubricating action against vaginal dryness, contributes to restore a natural and comfortable vaginal environment.

Lactic acid
Lactic acid - normally present in the vagina - favours an immediate pH correction and facilitates the natural recovery of the delicate vulvo-vaginal ecosystem.

Polycarbophil
Polycarbophil interacting with vaginal mucus can constantly release H+ ions contributing to lower the pH of vaginal environment.

Vitamins A and E
Due to their potent antioxidant action, Vitamins A and E contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes and skin.

Melaleuca oil
Melaleuca oil, extracted from the leaves of the melaleuca alternifolia, has antiseptic properties.

Glycyrrhetinic acid
Glycyrrhetinic acid, extracted from liquorice roots, has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
